She was very personable, kind, and calming. The executive director really knows what she's doing. So, there's stuff for young kids and stuff for teenagers. They're very family oriented and family friendly, with special areas for kids depending on their age. ![]() It was beautiful and it has great views of Pikes Peak. I could actually see the nurses in the middle area, and they were going about their business but keeping an eye on everybody too. From my understanding, the food is really good. You could tell that they had chosen to sit down and visit, and they all looked very happy. Everybody was sitting in the center of the room, talking closely together. I got to see everybody sitting there as I was leaving. There are lots of places where if you wanted to be with people, you could be with people. There were lots of little places if you wanted to sit by yourself and be comfortable outside of your room. There's an art teacher on a schedule, but you can go in and use the art room any time you want, and they encouraged that. They have a dedicated art room, which I really loved, along with the art activities room. They had alcoves at the end of every wing that were like sunrooms. I really liked that there was an activities room on the first floor where the dining room was so that people didn't have to go from the dining room up to a different level for activities. So if my grandmother likes something much smaller, like a studio, they have that and all the way up to basically suites with full kitchens. The room I saw was perfect for my grandmother, and they have lots of options. It was very quiet and calm, and the residents I saw seemed very happy. I've been through quite a week with my grandmother trying to figure out what we're going to do with her, because her medical needs became imminent. ![]() I am a friend or relative of a current/past residentīryn It was beautiful and it has great views of Pikes Peak. My mom tried to get an appointment into the beauty shop, but they don't get to you. It's a beautiful place, but that's about all there is. The interaction with the staff is minimal because there's not enough. They got rid of the maintenance guy, and they got a whole team now. I would say they were slow to react, but he's no longer there. My mom went down and told them that she didn't appreciate that. He would go up to her room and open the door and say, 'Hey, you want to go to bingo?' That just wasn't right: a man opening a lady's room. My mom didn't like that because he is not an employee. ![]() They had a volunteer there, and he had a key to go into everybody's room. There were no vehicles to take people to the hospital across the street. There just wasn't enough help or activities. I don't have a very good review for that one.
